Aztec Riches Review

Aztec Riches, sounds interesting. This casino caught my attention with its intriguing name and theme so I checked it out to see if this gambling site has something new to offer in this competitive gaming industry.

Thumbs Up

Thumbs Down
Sign-up bonus are not too big
Boring casino interface
Mediocre support
Uses a lot of system resources
Lots of unhappy players

Read the Bottom Line!

Sign-up Bonus: Not That Much of a Bonus

They only offer a 50% first deposit bonus with a maximum of just £50. I find this to be very small and while the £850 bonus that they are raving about is indeed high, I need to make a total of 5 deposits in order to get this package. I’m better off with Casino.com’s initial offering of 100% bonus of up to £400 plus 7 additional super reload bonuses.

To be fair, they do give out these bonuses but I find their marketing style to be a bit deceiving so I am giving this casino a Sign-Up Bonus score of 6/10.

Cashout Time: Funds Transferred without Any Issues

Cashing out the money takes 2 working days. Fortunately I never encountered any problems in getting my money back although there is a minimum withdrawal limit amount of £300 for courier checks and £50 for all other methods.

Still, I was able to get the funds without any issues so I am giving them a Cashout Time score of 8/10.

Software: Uses a Lot of System Resources

Although their casino software is powered by Microgaming which is a known online gaming software provider, I had a hard time using it especially the downloadable version because it was using a lot of system resources.

Without this kind of performance, I am giving them a Software score of 5/10.

Design & Layout: Nothing Spectacular

The name of the casino might sound interesting but the actual design and layout is quite the opposite. To be honest, I never saw anything spectacular or astounding from their casino lobby. It was just too plain and it’s nothing compared to Karamba’s lively interface.

They need to work on the design department so I am giving them a Design & Layout score of 2/5.

Game Quality & Variety: Big In Numbers But…

They have more than 600 games which mean a lot of choices but after testing some of the game titles, I found out that most of their offerings are almost the same. Most of them actually bored me and only a few got me entertained.

Given that they have a good number of games, I am giving them a Game Quality & Variety score of 10/10.

Customer Service: Mediocre Support Quality

The support department needs some re-training on what customer service is all about. Getting answers from them takes a lot of time and their responses are inconsistent.

Clearly, I wasn’t satisfied with the quality of support so I am giving them a Customer Service score of 8/15.

Reputation: Operated by a Company with Disputes

Aztec Riches Casino operated by Apollo Entertainment Limited which is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission (Licence number: 000-038620-R-319310-002). This sounds impressive but after checking the company background, they’ve had a dispute with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for getting complaints regarding misleading advertising. It’s inferior to William Hill which has a clean reputation for so many years.

With such a track record, I am giving this casino a Reputation score of 11/20.

User Experience: Unhappy Players Everywhere

I made an extensive research about the experiences of other players and to my surprise I learned that most of them weren’t really happy with this casino. It seems like they need to work on a lot of issues to satisfy their customers.

Taking all of these comments and criticisms into consideration, I am giving them a User Experience score of 10/20.

Our Bottom Line

Aztec Riches may have an intriguing and fascinating name for a casino but their features are quite the opposite. They may have an extensive choice of game titles but they failed to improve on the more important aspects like the entertainment factor and quality service. Clearly, there are other online casinos that have much better offerings and services so I highly recommend that you check out Casino.com, Karamba or William Hill.

Overall, Aztec Riches’ numbers were not that impressive acquiring only a total score of 60/100.
